VOLUNTEER ROLES
JUDGE
Working right in the middle of the action on the comp floor, you’ll be responsible for counting reps and ensuring standards are met. No experience necessary!
REGISTRATION
The first Battle Cancer volunteers our athletes and spectators see, this customer-facing role needs friendly, smiling people to get everybody into the venue. You’ll be handing out booklets and temporary tattoos, and herding people in the right direction. Once registration is closed, this team becomes score runners, sit at the info desk, or join other teams.
EQUIPMENT
This heavy lifting role is a workout in itself! A vital job for our comps, you’ll be working to ensure each lane has exactly the right equipment it needs for the workout to happen.
ATHLETE CONTROL
An essential role in the timely running of our events, athlete control ensures the right teams are warmed up and ready to hit the comp floor in time for their heat. You'll need a loud voice and excellent time-keeping skills.
OTHER
Do you have a special skill that we haven’t thought of? Get in touch and let us know!

WHAT YOU GET
Free Battle Cancer t-shirt
Lunch, snacks and drinks
Goodie bag
Exclusive offers from our partners
Unfortunately, we aren't able to offer financial help towards travel or accommodation for volunteers but will secure and share deals with local suppliers where possible.

WHAT TO EXPECT
We'll send you information about your chosen role before event day so you know what to expect.
Judges will be fully briefed online beforehand with a quick recap in the morning of the event.
We love it when volunteers help for the full day (normally 7:30-17:30 with breaks) but we offer morning and afternoon shifts as well if you're not able to commit to the full day.
You can select all your preferences as well as dietary requirements and additional comments on our registration forms for each event.
