FUNDRAISING

Every Rep Makes an Impact

Fundraising isn’t required to enter, but it’s at the heart of what makes this event special - and the community in Scotland always shows up.

We suggest that every team of four aims to fundraise a minimum of £200.

Our official partner charities are The Battle Cancer Program and CRUK, but you can choose any cancer charity to support.

WHY GLASGOW?

Glasgow has one of the most passionate fitness communities in the UK - and it shows every time Battle Cancer comes to town. The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is a world-class venue sitting on the banks of the Clyde, purpose-built for large-scale events and one of the most recognisable event spaces in the country.

Battle Cancer Glasgow consistently produces some of the highest fundraising totals across all our UK events. Scotland's athletic community brings intensity and generosity in equal measure - teams train hard, show up loud, and raise serious money for cancer charities that matter to them. The competition floor has an energy that's hard to describe and impossible to forget.

The 2026 event takes place on Saturday 3 October. If Glasgow is on your calendar, book early - places go fast and the t-shirt deadline closes a month before event day.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY

1 / Event Schedule & Arrival

Your team will be assigned a heat time - typically a 90-minute window from warm-up to completion. You'll also be given a time before your heat to register, collect your t-shirts, and warm up.

2 / WORKOUT FORMAT

The Battle Cancer Glasgow competition floor at the SEC Glasgow features all 9 stations across 3 challenge zones, running simultaneously throughout the day.

You'll work for 5 minutes at each station (max reps), followed by 4 minutes of rest while every team rotates together. With a live DJ, MC and hundreds of athletes competing side by side, expect an atmosphere unlike any other fitness event in Scotland.

3 / EVENT VILLAGE & SPECTATORS

When you're not competing, soak up the atmosphere from the spectator area, explore our partner activations and enjoy the event village throughout the day. Battle Cancer Glasgow proudly supports both The Battle Cancer Program and Cancer Research UK, and you're also welcome to fundraise for any registered cancer charity that's close to your heart.

HOW TO PREPARE

Training for Battle Cancer Glasgow means preparing for all three challenge zones: Endurance, Burn and Power. Your team will complete nine stations featuring the movements used on the Glasgow competition floor, including the Bike Erg, Row Erg, Ski Erg, Box Jump Overs, Hand-Release Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, Sandbag Squats, Dumbbell Devil's Press and Deadlifts. Focus on becoming efficient in each movement and building the strength and fitness to maintain consistent performance across every station.

A solid 8-week Battle Cancer training plan should include 2–3 strength sessions each week, 2 conditioning sessions using machines such as the rower, bike or ski erg, and at least one workout that combines strength and cardio under fatigue. Teams that build a strong engine alongside functional strength are best prepared to keep moving efficiently from the first station to the last.

Train with your team whenever possible. Practising transitions, communication and pacing together is one of the biggest advantages you can have when taking on Battle Cancer Glasgow, helping your team move smoothly through every station and maximise your score.
