WHY MIAMI?

Battle Cancer Miami brings together one of the most passionate functional fitness communities in the US. From CrossFit boxes and HYROX athletes to members of F45 and independent training studios, Miami is full of people who love to compete, improve and push their limits. If you're looking for a fitness event that combines performance with purpose, Hybrid 3|20 Miami is built for you.

Hybrid 3|20 is Battle Cancer's individual competition, combining 9 functional fitness stations with a 20-minute max-distance run. Every rep, every metre and every fundraising dollar contributes to your final score, creating a competition that rewards strength, endurance, smart pacing and consistency from start to finish.

Battle Cancer Miami proudly supports The Battle Cancer Program and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, helping to fund life-changing cancer support and research right here in Miami.

Join athletes from across South Florida for a day of competition, community and fundraising that proves fitness can make a real difference.

WHAT MAKES HYBRID 3|20 DIFFERENT?

1 / BUILT FOR MIAMI'S FITNESS COMMUNITY

Battle Cancer Miami has quickly established itself as a must-do event for South Florida's CrossFit, HYROX and functional fitness community. Building on the success of previous events, Hybrid 3|20 Miami combines a challenging competition format with a powerful fundraising mission, bringing together athletes who want to test themselves while making a real impact.

2 / A FORMAT THAT REWARDS SMART PACING

Hybrid 3|20 is designed to test more than just fitness. The 3-minute work intervals and 2-minute recovery periods create a relentless but sustainable pace, demanding consistent output across all 9 stations before the final 20-minute run. The athletes who perform best are those who pace themselves well, manage fatigue and still have the engine to finish strong.

3 / COMPETE FOR A CAUSE

Every rep, every metre and every fundraising dollar contributes to your final leaderboard score. The suggested fundraising minimum is $50 per athlete, but many competitors choose to go further, helping support life-changing cancer programmes while taking part in one of Miami's most rewarding hybrid fitness competitions.

HOW TO PREPARE

The additional 20-minute run at the end of Hybrid 3|20 makes running fitness more important here than in the team Challenge format. Build your aerobic base with regular Zone 2 running (comfortable, conversational pace) and complement it with interval work - shorter, harder efforts that train your body to perform when fatigued.

For the 9 stations, work through the same functional movement pool as the team format. The 3-minute blocks are shorter and more intense than the team event's 5-minute stations - pacing strategy is critical. Athletes who go at 90% on the first few stations and have something left for the run will consistently outscore athletes who redline early.
