Lift for Life: Wodapalooza, Miami Edition

Updated: May 29, 2020

Battle Cancer is proud to announce that our team, along with Wodapalooza's incredible athletes, spectators and staff smashed our Lift for Life challenge at Miami's Bayfront Park last weekend.

Kicking off a tough challenge on the festival's opening day, we set our sights on lifting over 606,800kg across the weekend - one kg for each person that passed away from cancer in the USA last year. Our effort aimed to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society.

People of all ages and abilities from countries across the world came to our activation to try their strength at our deadlift challenge and Grace leaderboard before donating dollars and remembering those loved and lost.

We even welcomed a few famous faces to the bar including the Buttery Bros, Zack George, Rory McKernan, Ben Bergeron, Tommy Marquez, Noah Ohlsen, Sam Dancer and many more.

As always, our Battle Cancer team did us proud on the competition floor with our founder, Scott Brits, leading a mixed team in the Intermediate division.

We were overwhelmed by the support and generosity of everyone at Wodapalooza, a huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone that took part!
