WHAT IS THE BATTLE CANCER CHALLENGE?
about the challenge
The Battle Cancer Challenge is a strength and fitness endurance challenge made up of nine fitness stations. The goal is to complete all nine fitness stations as quickly as possible, and can be completed as a team of four, team of two, or individually. Most teams and individuals complete the challenge in around 60 minutes.
On signing up, each team will pledge to fundraise a minimum of 200€ for their chosen cancer charity. Some teams beat this target, raising thousands for charity and changing lives with fitness. Here’s the difference! Every 25€ raised by your team will reduce the physical challenge by 1 rep, shortening your challenge and giving you an advantage for a faster time.

Stations
STATION 01 Get ready to kickstart your journey at Station 01, where you will face the Assault Air Bike. This station is all about unleashing your raw power and endurance as you pedal like there's no tomorrow. Achieve the 2.500 meters as quickly as possible. Teams can share this work as they like.
STATION 02 At Station 02, you will take on the Barbell Deadlift. This station is all about raw power as you aim to hit the required number of deadlifts for your division. Teams can share this work as they like. The barbell Deadlift not only tests your strength, but your core stability, legs and back. Bar weights will be 40kg for women and 60kg for men.
STATION 03 Step into Station 03, where you will embark on the Shuttle Runs. This station is all about endurance as you cover your set distance. Pushing your cardiovascular limits, individuals will need a strong mind to push through their sets while teams will also be tested in their ability to work as a cohesive unit in their changeovers! Teams can share this work as they like.
STATION 04 Welcome to Station 04, where you will face 1.000m on the Rower. This station is all about endurance and willpower as you get through your meters as quickly as possible. The rower will test your cardiovascular endurance and upper body strength. It's a full-body workout that engages your legs, back, and arms, providing an intense aerobic challenge to rack up some big distance as fast as you can. Teams can share this work as they like.
STATION 05 This station is all about raw power, combining strength, balance and coordination. It targets various muscle groups, including your legs, back, and shoulders. Hit rep after rep from the floor to overhead until you reach your division’s target. Teams can share the reps as they like. Dumbbell weights are 12.5kg for women and 20kg for men.
STATION 06 Back to the Shuttle Run, this station is once again all about endurance as you cover your set distance. Pushing your cardiovascular limits, individuals will need a strong mind to push through their sets while teams will also be tested in their ability to work as a cohesive unit in their changeovers! Teams can share this work as they like.
STATION 07 This station is all about agility and intensity as you aim to complete your Burpee reps as fast as possible. For teams, all athletes will be working in synchro together to complete the reps. The jump-over element adds an extra layer of teamwork and the pressure not to fall behind!
STATION 08 The Sandbag Over Shoulder is a strongman exercise that combines strength, coordination and hard work. Combining squatting movements, grip strength, and explosive lifting, individuals will need to consider how they’ll break up sets to reach their target, while teams will need to strategise changeovers. Teams can share this work as they like. Sandbag weights are 20kg for women and 30kg for men.
STATION 09 Last push! On the final straight, individuals and teams will face Shuttle Runs for the final time and run in shuttles until the distance has been met. Teams can share this work as they like.
