SPORTS DAY. BUT FOR ADULTS

Take on pumping team workouts made up of creative movements using simple equipment.

YOUR FIRST WORKOUT:

As Much Raised As Possible

Your first workout isn't to do with any fitness. It doesn't even take place on competition day. It starts as soon as you sign up!

You and your team will fundraise your hardest to earn a place on the leaderboard ahead of the four workouts on event day.

Here's how it works:

  1. Sign up your team and choose a cancer charity to support

  2. Receive your fundraising pack with ideas of how to fundraise and donate directly to your charity

  3. Screenshot your fundraising total and submit your figure at registration on event day

  4. Get ranked on the Battle Cancer leaderboard! The more you raise, the higher you'll place

FOUR 9-MINUTE WORKOUTS

Expect lively partner carries, exhilarating machine sprints and synchronised lifts, jumps and squats that encourage team coordination and put mental and physical ability to the test.

Each lasting nine minutes, our workouts are intense bursts of activity leaving you plenty of time to recover in between.

HOW HARD IS IT?

Workouts are designed so that professional athletes may compete next to experienced gym-goers, first timers and cancer survivors. It's as hard (or as easy!) as you want to make it. There are no heavy weights, barbell, or gymnastics, just intuitive movements and simple equipment.

Are you an adaptive athlete? Are you recovering from treatment that limits your ability to complete certain movements? On the day our judges will make adjustments so that you can put your all into the workout.

WHAT ARE THE WEIGHT STANDARDS?

Standards are as follows for men/women, all weights are in kilograms:

Kettlebell 20/12, Dumbbell 20/12.5, Plates 20/10, Sand Bags 30, Wall Balls 9/6

We also use machines including rowers, ski ergs, and bike ergs. Further equipment may be added but will not exceed the weights stated above.
